Basket by Marco Dessí
The starting point for this project is very traditional Lobmeyr’s “Schloss Hof” candle of the family arms with tears. Basket designed by Dessí Marco, Tubes are bent into a hexagonal shape and put it into a silk ribbon, while the double-helix of halogen lamps extends from one rod in it. Pieces of glass were created by companies Lobmeyr Vienna. Traditional lantern shape as the template and used a glass tube bent hexagonally in combination with silk cord to create unique woven basket-like structure. Selected lighting units to be spiraling play on a slim with a halogen lamp post. It resembles a double helix.[Via]
